US To Free 3,000 Iraq Detainees

Reported by ANTARA yesterday, US military plans to free around 3,000 Iraq detainees during this Ramadan month. By freeing those 3,000 detainees, it means US military have released more than 15,000 detainees since first January of this year.
Still according to ANTARA, during this Ramadan month, the US military has detained an average of 24 prisoners everyday, but they are releasing an average of 67.

Finally, a United Arab Emirates business group, Abu Dhabi Group, on Monday takover Manchester City Football Club from the former owner Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. According to police officer at Yogyakarta, Djoko Suprapto return after a police hospital on Thursday gave him a clean bill of health. Djoko, a man with dubious educational background who previously claimed he had found Blue Energy by turning water into fuel, was reported to the police by Muhammadiyah University (UMY) after the institution discovered his invention was a hoax.

Oil Prices Turned High Again

In the Asian Trade Friday, world oil prices turned high again. An analyst said that it’s due to the invasion of Russia and the West over Georgia. Reported from Antara News, New York’s main oil futures contract, light sweet crude for delivery in October, was up 46 cents at 121.64 dollars a barrel. The contract had closed up 5.62 dollars to 121.18 dollars a barrel at the close of floor trading on Thursday at the New York Mercantile Exchange. While Brent North Sea crude for October was 58 cents higher at 120.74 dollars a barrel after settling 5.80 dollars higher at 120.16 Thursday in London.
